Started Racing in 2002 aged 59 !. Have won a few races first in Class in the Cooper S and awarded the 2004 Mike Clayton Memorial Trophy by AMOC for the most improved driver. 5th out of 71 at Spa 1 Hour in 2008.

History:
Car raced in UK club racing in the 1980’s and was converted to a Lightweight between 1988 and 1990 by ADA Engineering, Ian Mason and Tickfords.
Raced in Japan in the 1990’s and returned to England in 2000.
I bought the car in 2002 and have raced it extensively since 2003 in the AMOC series, HRCA Ireland and the Heritage GTCC series as well as at Spa in Belgium.

History:
Car rallied in NI and the republic in the 1990’s.
I bought the car in 2000 and have Hill Climbed and raced it extensively since 2002 in the HRCA in Ireland and the Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge series in the UK. Was Co Driven by John “Smokin” Rhodes in the UK in 2006, and Barry “Whizzo” Williams in 2009.
Car was badly crashed at Brands in 2006 by John Rhodes through no fault of his own. Car rebuilt on a jig at Stratton Motor Company and finished by Ray Cunningham of Galway Mini Centre. |
