MEC Sprint/Hillclimb Weekend 21st/22th August 2010
Hi fellow HRCA members and congratulations to all who turned out for the weekend. Well what can I say about the weekend, I am no expert on Hillclimbs but reports back to me say Saturday was as good as you can get, pity we did not get a few more runs. A lot of comments about the late start but when things did get going great fun was had by all. Thanks to Robin Taylor you did a great job. If you can keep this hill for next year you are on a winner.
The Sunday sprint was a different venue, another great day. This was on a newly laid surface of tarmac this was very slippy, ask Robin Bell! We were all gathered under the watchful eye of the big wind turbine and we had glorious sunshine all day. How lucky is that? There were a few complaints about the prize giving. Where was it held in the end? Was it in the pub or was it in the field ? Anyway the points are posted on the web so you can check them out. Glad Vinney O’Reilly was ok he may have been doing a spot of mud plugging. Holy Moley Vinny if anything happened to you who would run the country.
