HRCA HAS MAJOR WIN IN RACING AT SILVERSTONE
SILVERSTONE 22ND MAY 2010.
Ed Cassidy and Jackie Cochrane ran their Sunbeam Tigers in a major Sunbeam Tiger Race in Silverstone on 22nd May 2010. Ed lead the race for the first few laps before being passed by Rupert West and followed by Jackie Cochrane. Eventually Jackie took the lead and held it to the finish and Ed finished 3rd in what was a very close and exciting race
Later in the day there was an Intermarque Race which was a very fast race from start tto finish with Aston Martins, AC Cobras and Chevrolet Camaros to mention a few on the grid. Jackie qualified in 4th on the grid.
After 4 laps Jackie had moved up to 2nd place having swapped places several times with Boysie Turtle in the Camaro. Finaaly the Camaro retired with overheating problems which left Jackie a clear run to the chequered flag
A great day for Ed and Jackie with two firsts and a third and a great day for the HRCA
