There were 17 cars lined up in the assembly area for the Historics Race.Congratulations to Vinny for the lovely paint job. Clive Brandon had gear box problems put thanks to Johnny Flynn and a few borrowed tools this was sorted out. Johnny was on hand to help out anyone in a spot of bother. Welcome to our new comers Wolfgang Schnittger and Martin O’Sullivan first time out with the Historics it is great to see new cars on the grid.
Ed Cassidy did not make the race as he was held up with the ash but he landed by parachute later on in the day.

Mr.O’Reilly seemed to be taking it easy in his newly painted Austin Healy (hands off the paintwork.) At the other end of the field one hundredth of a second separated Barry and Liam this would have made a great race but Liam had a problem with head gasket.
The race was set for 2.00pm and started on time no incidents during the race except Clive started from the pit lane and had to retire after the first few laps. Clive will have his car sorted and when he does you better watch out. Alan Kessie had the Gryphon 1600cc out for a spin getting ready for the French hill climb
