Prize Giving for 2011 and 2012 |

NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS CONCERNING PRIZE GIVING FOR 2011 AND 2012
As many of you will know, the basis on which prizes were distributed in 2010 was changed from that which appears to have been the custom and practice for a number of years before.
The events surrounding this change clearly caused upset to the 2010 Club Champion, and the Committee issued an apology to him in particular resulting from the personal upset caused.
The Committee has discussed at length what protocols to follow for the distribution of prizes in the future. Research has taken place in minutes of Committee Meetings and AGM’s to try establishing if a Committee or Members are recorded as agreeing something in the past that could guide this Committee going forward. Nothing has been discovered.
Therefore for racing in 2012 and thereafter it is proposed by the Committee to have the matter decided upon by a motion at the AGM later this year.
For racing in 2011 the Committee has decided to follow the same protocol that prevailed at the 2010 prize giving
